Catching up

I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted anything. It hasn't been for lack of things going on but my brain is still trying to wrap itself around everything. I've taken the week to sort of allow things to fall where they are falling and then when I feel like it I can start sorting through it all in my head. In the meantime I'm working every day, trying to get a few Stampin' Up events organized, and dog sitting. Today is a treasure...I have the whole day without a thing on my calendar. I don't have any expectations for getting a great deal done but I'm happy with it. I'll see what I come up with as the new week starts.

So in the meantime...

You Are a Green Crayon

Your world is colored in harmonious, peaceful, natural colors.

While some may associate green with money, you are one of the least materialistic people around.

Comfort is important to you. You like to feel as relaxed as possible - and you try to make others feel at ease.

You're very happy with who you are, and it certainly shows!

Your color wheel opposite is red. Every time you feel grounded, a red person does their best to shake you.

What Your Shamrock Says About You

You are brilliant, analytical, and somewhat of a perfectionist. You are ultra competent and knowledgeable.

At times, people find you intimidating. You can be a bit sarcastic and harsh.

You don't really consider yourself a lucky person. In your view, people create their own luck.

You are creative, innovative, and complicated. You definitely have a unique spin on the world.

Pretty close to fact...

Roll away the stone...

Whatever your stone is, hopefully you can find a way to roll it away and step into the light today. Think of it as a chance at the New Year again, this time with a prayer in your heart. That's my plan...

Happy Easter!

Two of Your Favorite Things to do:

Two pets you had/have:

A shamrock short...

The Irish are short one lovely lass this St. Patty's Day. My grandmother, Cora Lena (McIntyre) Kahl, passed away a week ago this past Friday. She was Irish to the core with the temperament to go with and a heart of gold. Her wake and funeral were a testament to her caring, her spirit, and her love of life.

It was a bit odd to drive to a friend's tonight for a traditional corn beef and cabbage dinner complete with soda bread and a bottle of Jameson Whiskey. Typically I would have called Grandma Lena on the drive to wish her a happy St. Patty's Day. Even though it was just across town, it seemed like a long drive.

I hope the bag pipes played a tune for her as she came through the gates. I'm sure it was a welcome sound to her ears.

Love you Grandma Lena!

Again?

Not much to say...I'm in San Francisco. I could say lots about San Francisco. I'm not in the mood.

I'm a gazillion states away and my grandma (The other person I called nearly once a day) passed away tonight (or what was tonight, I guess it's officially Saturday even here in San Fran now). Either way, late Friday evening my Grandma Lena passed away.

Lost

So my friend Heather's response to my last post was "deep" and I also got a lot of well wishes too.

You know what it really means when you are at a place in your life where change needs to be considered? It means in a way...you are lost. Yup...lost. Don't know which way to turn. Don't know which path will lead you where you want to go. Don't know if you can even get there from here? By the way...where's here?

Change describes where I'm at right now. Things have changed. Things need to change. I'm changing. I think. Yeah, the north winds of change are blowing. Why was it so easy for Mary Poppins to unfold her umbrella and up and leave? What made Vianne in Chocolat' ignore the winds of change in the end? What makes people like Greg Mortenson (mountaineer and author of Three Cups of Tea) get up and start from scratch with one big grand idea? What makes it work?!?!

All things to figure out. I'll keep you as posted as I can on where I am, what I'm doing, where I'm going. I'm not jumping off any cliffs. I am investigating my options. Seeking professional help with the mental side. Praying a lot. A lot!

For the rest of this week, that's all on hold. I'm off to San Francisco for a conference. Not much of my heart left so I don't think I'll be leaving it there. I know a bit of fresh seafood every night will make my spirits better.

Have a wonderful week folks!
